DaVinci Tool Soft Helping You With Pain Relief

If you don’t have injury-related back pain or chronic sciatica, then you may find relief from a little $17 product called the DaVinci Tool Soft. At first glance, it just looks like a little weird foam headrest, with different shapes chewed into it.

Yet, you’ll find, that as you maneuver this little tool around your head, neck and shoulder blades, it actually opens up some of the nerve passageways and gives you a bit of reprieve.

Varying Your Routine

You can use it while watching TV or reading, or you can ask your partner to use it to massage your back, without inducing hand cramping. You may even wish to use this in conjunction with other back pain relief tools to vary up your routine and find a regiment that works.

To use the DaVinci Tool Soft, you lie down, placing the device at the top of the neck/base of the skull, and relax. You can position the tool in various locations to relieve tension, ease muscle spasms or treat sore spots. Each side of the tool has different patterns to work on your back in slightly different ways.

Blue DaVinci Tool Firm For Lower Back Relief

The DaVinci is also commonly used by partners to minimize hand cramping or fatigue. The DaVinci Tool Soft may not be rigid enough if you plan to work exclusively on the lower lumbar/mid-back areas, which are better served by the blue DaVinci Tool Firm.

A number of reviewers mention showing the DaVinci Tool Soft to their chiropractors or say that they are chiropractors who approve of this item. "May not look like much - but looks can be deceiving - this thing is wonderful," says Candi Docton of Kerrville, Texas.

She adds, "My massage therapist daughter thinks it’s cool too!" Another reviewer, R. Anderson of San Diego, California, similarly quips: "I am sure any massage therapist would enjoy having this tool. I am an RN and a Massage Therapist."

K. Black boasts, "I even showed it to my chiropractor!" Massage Queen Mary J. Phipps adds that "This is a very useful tool to use on yourself or your clients." Roughly half of the reviews were four or five-star on Amazon, but some people feel other tools could do the job just as good, if not better.

Some Negative Reviews

However, the DaVinci Tool Soft has also received some negative press. "It would not support my neck," writes reviewer Tricia Love. "I found it very uncomfortable both at the back of my head, on my shoulder blade and on my buttocks for sciatica."

Aubrey Moore complained that there were no instructions so she had to "guess" how to use it. "This product doesn’t make sense to me," says John Kenney. "One major problem with it is that it is made for you to ‘lie’ on, but it isn’t strong enough to actually put any serious weight on." B. Patton adds, "I haven’t been able to figure out how to get it in the right position to make it work yet."
